Ascendancy
The band Ascendancy is poised to conquer the German metal scene. With their energetic performances and impressive musical finesse, they have already made a name for themselves locally. The group consists of talented young musicians: Philip Lainovic and Leonardo Violo on guitars, Gianluca Tortora on vocals, Erik Römer on drums, and Sebastian Nöller on bass.
Despite their youth – all aged between 19 and 23 – they display a maturity and professionalism that belies their age.
Their musical journey began as a school band in Munich, where they discovered their passion for metal. Inspired by legends such as Helloween, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Megadeth, Ascendancy has crafted a sound that draws from the glorious days of 1980s metal but sounds fresh and contemporary. Their genre can best be described as a blend of speed, thrash, and heavy metal.
Since 2023, Ascendancy has been thrilling their fans with live performances across Germany.
Their high-energy style and captivating stage presence have consistently won over and headbanged every audience they've encountered. Their success peaked when they placed second in the German finals of the prestigious Emergenza competition held at SO36 in Berlin.
The band now stands on the brink of their greatest milestone yet: On April 19, their long-awaited album "Archive of Death" will be released on all streaming platforms. The album encapsulates years of creative work and promises to delight fans with an impressive collection of songs. With their ambitious spirit, boundless talent, and unwavering determination, Ascendancy will undoubtedly solidify their position as rising stars.
